Raipur. The District Administration gave a compassionate appointment to Omprakash Sahu of Baloda Bazar district within ten days of applying. Today he thanked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel during the virtual inauguration and foundation laying programme in Baloda Bazar district. He told the Chief Minister that his father Chovaram Sahu was an Assistant Grade-II in Government Higher Secondary School Amera. He passed away due to COVID-19 on April 18. Omprakash applied for a compassionate appointment and got it within ten days on the post of Assistant Grade-III. Omprakash Sahu thanked Chief Minister for this and the respite it brought to his family.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said during the interaction that we have lost many fellow citizens during the COVID crisis, and many families have lost their heads. The government stands with all such people who have suffered the loss. He further said that Cabinet took a prompt decision to provide a compassionate appointment to the victim families. More than 700 people in the School Education Department had their appointment in this way. The Chief Minister wished a bright future to Omprakash. The collector of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, Sunil Jain, informed that 57 people had employment on compassionate grounds.
