Raipur: Schedule caste, schedule tribe and people belong to weaker section of society in Chhattisgarh are being forced to religion conversion which is a big threat not only to Hindu society but also to the unity and integrity of India, said former IAS officer and BJP leader OP Chaudhary while addressing Dharma Raksha Shankhnad Jan Jagaran Yatra organized in Katghora.
He alleged that under the support of the state government, fear and inducement based conversions are being done for political selfishness across the state. The protection of the nation and the creation of Navarashtra is possible only by the protection of Hindu Dharma. If we keep silence on issues like this, Chhattisgarh will become Afghanistan in the coming time, he said.
Referring to a letter written a few months ago by Sukma SP to the Thanedars regarding religious conversion, Chaudhary said that this situation is not only of Bastar but from Surguja to Raipur and all the districts of the state. A Jan Jagran and Janakrosh rally were organized by Hinduist parties in protest against this sponsored conversion. This entire program was organized with the aim of spreading the spirit of universal brotherhood.
Prior to the meeting organized at the local Agriculture College ground, a public rally was organized during which people raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Har Har Mahadev. In addition to the leaders of Hinduist parties in large numbers, BJP district presidents, former district presidents, women officials, BJYM leaders, front-cell officials of various circles and local youth and women participated in the programme. At the end of the program, a memorandum was submitted to the administration at Shaheed Veernarayan Chowk.
