
Raipur:
Covid 19 vaccination mock drill will be conducted in seven districts of the
state on Saturday.
These mock drills will be done in Raipur, Surguja, Durg, Bilaspur, Rajnandgaon, Bastar and Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi districts. The central government has given instructions for conducting dry run of the covid vaccine. Earlier, the programme was scheduled to be held on January 4 which will now be conducted on January 2.
Chief
Secretary Amitabh Jain has given necessary guidelines after discussing with the
collectors of all the seven districts selected for the mock drill. National
Health Mission Director Dr Priyanka Shukla has also taken detailed information
with all district collectors through video conferencing regarding the preparations
for the mock drill. The objective of this mock drill is to test cold chain
management, supply, storage, and logistics of the vaccine as well as the
preparation of the vaccination venue including the arrival of people for
vaccination at the vaccination site, their entry, registration, vaccination, and
observation. It will also be seen how long it takes during vaccination from
entry to vaccine in the Co-Win app. Preparations for the entire machinery will
also be tested.
State
Immunization Officer Dr. Amar Singh Thakur said that the health department is
constantly holding a virtual conference regarding the preparation of Covid-19
vaccination. In the first phase, 2.34 lakh people engaged in healthcare will be
vaccinated. The mock drill will be conducted in the selected districts by the health department from 10 am to 2 pm at district hospitals, community health
centers, and primary health centers in which 5 to 10 people will be called in
each center.
