Maharashtra Government today announced an evaluation plan for Class 10th (SSC) students post-cancellation of Examination conducted by the State Education Board.
Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced that 50 percent weightage will be given to the 9th Standard's mark, 30 percent weightage to internal evaluation and 20 percent weightage will be given to homework and practicals.
Those students who are not satisfied with these marks can appear for the class improvement exam which will be organized after normalizing the covid situation in the state.
Minister Gaikwad also announced that, for admission to 11th Standard, an optional Common Entrance Test will be organized.
CBSE, ICSE, and State Board students can appear for this exam.
It will be a multiple-choice exam for two hours having 100 marks.
Preference in admission for Standard 11th will be given on the basis of marks in the CET exam.
Vacant seats will be filled using marks of 10th Standard.
