Chera village Sarpanch's husband arrested in case of brutally beating tribals accused of stealing fish

Raipur: Chera Village Sarpanch’s husband Satyam Yadav has been arrested in connection with the case of brutally beating eight people of the specially protected Pandas tribe by taking them hostage and tying them to a tree, in Balrampur.

After the disclosure of the matter, the State Congress Committee deleted its post from Twitter regarding the Balrampur Pando caste incident; while on the other hand, there has been a blockade in Balrampur Ramanujganj district. There has been a demand for justice to the victims.

About 7-8 people, including two minors, have been beaten up for stealing fish from a mere pond. Those who have been beaten up come from specific vulnerable tribal group communities. According to sources, these people have been beaten up in front of everyone by calling a panchayat and a fine of Rs 35,000 was also imposed.

A video of the incident of beating of tribal people has also been made which is now viral on social media. The matter has heated up after the video surfaced on the internet.

According to sources, the whole scenarios believed to be the creation of Sarpanch’s husband Satyam Yadav. He is seen sitting on a chair during the whole incident. After the assault, the Sarpanch husband Satyam Yadav threatened that if they went to the police station, he would do worse. The families of the victims have demanded strict action against Yadav.
