CG Vidhan Sabha witness noisy scenes with BJP supporting Congress MLA's allegations on health minister

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha on Monday witnessed noisy scenes with the opposition coming in support of Congress MLA Brihaspat Singh who has alleged that health minister was involved in the attack on him and his convoy.

The opposition BJP created a ruckus over this issue in the Vidhan Sabha. “There will be no talk in the house at the cost of the life of the MLA. We will not be able to speak in the house. This is an attack on the legislature”, said Ajay Chandrakar and Brijmohan Agrawal on behalf of BJP.

“Both the parties are members of the House in this matter. The Speaker may direct that the Committee of the House conduct an inquiry”, Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik said.

“This is the first such incident in political history, it is unfortunate not only for Congress but for Chhattisgarh. The government should give a statement in this regard. There should be a thorough investigation in such incident”, he added.

“Vidhan Sabha Speaker should order a probe in this matter by the Vidhan Sabha committee. Our MLA’s life is in danger and this is a serious matter. If the minister has done this, then the accountability should be fixed and if it is not then thorough investigation should be done to find the culprit”.
