Raipur: Panchayat and rural development minister TS Singh Deo on Monday chaired the review meeting of panchayat and rural development department held at his residence here.
In this meeting, he discussed in detail with senior officers of panchayat and rural development department following a presentation based on departmental works. The minister held a district-wise review meeting of Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission, in which he observed the achievement of the set annual target of self-help groups. Under this, Baloda Bazar topped with 52 per cent Durg with 59 per cent and Bemetara with 70 per cent and the state average was 36 per cent and the state average was 96 per cent in village organization mapping.
During the meeting the minister reviewed various important departmental meeting including Utthan Project, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (State Average 50%), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (State Average 38%), Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Dr Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme (state average 67%). After observing district wise achievements, he directed towards further work on the annual average achievement of the state.
Panchayat minister TS Singhdeo reviewed progress under Solid and Liquid Waste Management under Swachh Bharat Mission Rural, progress of construction and use of community toilets, progress of construction and use of community toilets along the highway, solid and liquid waste management in tourist places. Progress of works, progress of construction and use of toilets under New Household Laterine, progress of construction and use under pilot project to be implemented in 11 districts of the state in order to construct toilets for differently-abled people, L. Progress of construction and use of toilets in WE areas, progress of completion of baseline survey, discussion on plastic waste management, discussion on fecal waste management.
While reviewing the works of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna and Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojna in the state, Panchayat Minister Singhdeo made a detailed overview in which works of 7,619 out of 8,539 approved roads and 322 out of 376 approved bridges have been completed. He appreciated the officials for their efforts. Along with this, 920 road works, 54 bridges works which are still pending have been directed to be completed soon. Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna and Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojna, an expenditure of Rs.13,215 crore has been made out of Rs.16,133 crore.
Senior departmental officials said that 767 roads (2535 km) construction work is in progress, while 153 roads (772 km) are pending in the tender process which will be completed soon. Panchayat Minister Shri Singhdeo did a district-wise review of the ongoing works under the schemes and observed the action plan.
