Raipur. Samundra Singh, a former Excise Department officer, has been arrested by the EOW and ACB from his residence in Boriyakala. He had a reward of ten-thousand rupees on him. Five teams of EOW and ACB managed to arrest Samundra Singh by raiding at different places.
Soon after being arrested, Samudra Singh complained of ill health, and so he was admitted to a private hospital. Further action will be taken after receiving the report from the hospital. Previously, a case was registered against Samundra Ram Singh in EOW under Crime No. 14/2019 Section 13 1 (b), 13 (2) Prevention of Corruption Act, 120-B Indian Penal Code. Samundra Ram Singh was on the run since then. The Superintendent of Police, EOW, had announced a reward of ten-thousand rupees on information leading to the arrest of the accused. It is noteworthy that the Congress leader Nitin Bhansali had complained against Samundra Singh to the Chief Minister and the EOW and ACB. On his complaint investigation was initiated.
