"Samvedna Kaksha" started in Saraswati Nagar police station for crime against women.

Raipur: In a bid to ensure speedy redressal of complaints related to women, “Samvedna Kaksha” has been inaugurated at Saraswati Nagar police station in Raipur district on Wednesday.

The crimes against women in this separate unit will be heard by the policewomen officers and efforts will be made to resolve them quickly. Keeping in view the small children, toys and other entertainment-related materials have also been made available in this room. On receipt of any complaint related to women in the police station, counseling will be done by the women police officers/employees and if the type of crime is serious, then advance action will be taken on it along with registering FIR. Similar rooms are being constructed in every police station of the district.

During the inauguration and tree plantation programme in the premises of Saraswati Nagar police station, Additional Superintendent of Police City Lakhan Patle, City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk Ankita Sharma (I.P.S.), SHO Saraswati Nagar Gautam Gawade, Station-in-Charge Kabir Nagar Girish Tiwari, SHO Amanaka Bharat Bareth, SHO Azad Chowk Satyaprakash Tiwari and other officers and employees of the police station were present.

Meanwhile, to ensure speedy redressal of complaints related to women in the state, to reduce crimes against women, and to ensure security, all the superintendents of police have been instructed to construct a separate “Samvedna Kaksha” in the police station premises.
