The health minister said on the occasion that the campaign of making people aware about 100 per cent vaccination and corona behavior in the state by UNICEF, Ekta Parishad and other allied organizations is a commendable initiative. Through UNICEF, their volunteers will go door-to-door in 600 inaccessible villages of 20 districts of the state to make people aware about the prevention of covid vaccination and infection.
He added that the volunteers should especially keep in mind that those who have received the first dose of corona vaccine should be encouraged to take the second dose on priority. The health minister said that Raigarh district has done remarkable work by getting the first dose of 100 per cent Covid vaccine in the state. He informed that the health department in the state has the capacity to administer 3 to 5 lakh doses of vaccine per day. Due to the lack of adequate supply of vaccines to the state, the rate of vaccination has definitely reduced, but in view of the possible third wave of corona, efforts are being made to increase the vaccination by following the corona guidelines.
He said that no one needs to be afraid or panic due to the Covid vaccination, trained staff are working in the vaccination center as per the norms of the center. He has appealed to all eligible people to get Covid vaccine for protection and control from Corona.
