Raipur: Raigarh police is distributing ready to eat food packets through police help desk to the needy people affected by lockdown and people of other states who have stranded here due to lockdown.
Providing a relief to needy as per the instructions of Raigarh SP Santosh Singh, the police is distributing dry ration and ready to eat food packets with public assistance to the needy amid lockdown. Meanwhile, relief has been provided to the needy on a large scale by the district administration. Along with this, dry ration and vegetables are also being provided by the Parshads in their respective wards in the municipal corporation area.
The nodal officer of police help desk informed the ration received from Raigarh Police and various social organizations has been distributed to 35,229 persons till today. Still a packet of dry ration is kept in the stock. Arrangements are being made to contact needy persons and every day ready-to-eat packets are being distributed in the city through patrolling.
In the second wave of Corona, medical facilities were also made available to many people through the Police Help Desk. Initially, there were frequent calls to the police help desk of the relatives of infected patients for help in oxygen, beds, medicine, help was provided to them as much as possible from the nodal officers of the help desk, senior officers, station in-charges. At the same time, people who were constantly contacting the police office for e-pass were helped in e-pass and like the first lockdown people of other district who were stranded here due to lockdown were sent back to their home district by arranging vehicles.
