Congress holds a one-day sit-in to protest inflation.

Dispatch News.

Following the instructions of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, city MLA Shailesh Pandey sat outside his office and staged a one-day sit-in protest against inflation. MLA Shailesh Pandey said that in seventy years, inflation had not grown so much. The rate of petrol/diesel has risen at an alarming rate, and the country is crying out. The Modi government has oppressed people under its rule. The Modi government came to power on promises of development, but they have just disappointed the people. The mishandling of the Covid pandemic destroyed the economy and also cost lives. The condition of the farmers has also deteriorated; the poor are getting poorer. First, demonetisation, then GST and inflation have killed people, ruined the business. Small traders are under debt, while crores of rupees are spent on propaganda. Today petrol and diesel have reached close to Rs 100, yet the Modi government is silent. Everything is more expensive under this government which is more interested in business than service.

MLA Shailesh Pandey said that the Congress party opposes inflation and will continue to do so. If required, we will take to the streets, raising people's voices. The Congress party have always raised their voices for the benefit of the people, and we will continue to fight till our last breath. Senior leader Pankaj Singh, Councilor Ramashankar Baghel, Abdul Khan, Jugal Goyal, Alderman Kashi Ratre, Akhilesh Gupta, Dipanshu Srivastava, Block President Moti Thavarani, Shailendra Chaturvedi, Rehan Raza, Shashwat Tiwari, and others were present during the protest.
