1.02 crore Covid-19 vaccines administered so far in the state, Health min expresses gratitude to corona warriors and citizens of state

Raipur: Over 1.02 crore vaccines for protection against Covid-19 have been administered in the state so far till July 5. Second dose has been administered to 17.50 lakh people in the state, while 84.82 lakh 82 people have received the first dose of the vaccine.

In the state, 3.08 lakh health workers, 3.15 lakh frontline workers, 48.07 ​​lakh above people 45 years and 30.50 lakh citizens in the age group of 18 to 44 years have received first vaccine against corona. Similarly, 2.40 lakh health workers, 2.13 lakh frontline workers, 12.16 lakh above 45 years and 80, 335 people in the age group of 18 to 44 have been administered both the vaccines.

Over 91 per cent health workers, 100 per cent frontline workers, 82 per cent citizens above 45 years and 23 per cent youth in the age group of 18 to 44 have got the first corona vaccine. While, 71 per cent of health workers, 73 per cent of frontline workers and 21 per cent of people above 45 years have received both shots of vaccine.

Expressing happiness over the achievement of state in Covid vaccination programme, health minister TS Singh Deo said in a tweet “It gives me immense satisfaction and pride to inform all of you that the number of vaccine doses in Chhattisgarh has crossed one crore. Thanks to all the covid warriors and the people of the state. Together we will defeat this pandemic.”
