Raipur. The Bhupesh Baghel government has taken a significant decision concerning the industrial use of oxygen cylinders in Chhattisgarh. The government has banned the industrial use of oxygen cylinders. Given the increasing cases of COVID infection, the government has decided.
The ban will continue from April 22 until further orders. The order has been issued to stop the industrial supply and convert it into medical oxygen, this will provide oxygen to the COVID patients.
Oxygen demand has increased in Chhattisgarh amid the growing infection. Many patients in the state died due to a lack of oxygen. The government has taken this step so that patients can get oxygen.
The Central Government wrote a letter to the Government of Chhattisgarh asking for a ban on the industrial use of oxygen cylinders. Industrial units need to be converted into medical oxygen by controlling the supply and utilization of oxygen.
Health Services nowadays use about 80 per cent of the oxygen produced in the state. According to the orders, Industrial units in the state are banned from April 21 till further from supplying and using oxygen.
