Raipur. Amid the growing epidemic of the second wave of coronavirus, PM Narendra Modi has announced a new decision regarding COVID vaccination. People over 18 years of age will get the COVID vaccine from May 1. The decision comes after a meeting about the COVID epidemic.
PM Narendra Modi said that the markets across the country will now carry the COVID vaccine. The Central Government has directed to increase vaccine production. Prime Minister said that since last year, the government is trying its best to provide vaccine doses to as many people as possible in the country.
In the third phase of the World's Largest Vaccination campaign, the government plans to ease the eligibility criteria for the purchase of vaccines. The COVID vaccine was first made available to frontline workers, health workers, and people over sixty. After this, people above the age of 45 years received the shots. The government says that this system will continue in this way.
Central Government took this decision a day after a record 2,73,810 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in one day in the country on Monday. Due to the increase in the number of cases, most states are complaining of shortages of oxygen and medicines.
