Raipur. Only 22 new cases of Covid positive were detected in Chhattisgarh out of a total of 18569 samples tested. The state also did not have any deaths due to Covid-19 in the last six days from August 25 to 30.  The number of active patients in the state had also remained only 439. However, the daily infection rate has increased to 0.12 per cent.

Health Department’s data revealed that only 19 people were found positive for Covid out of 17660 samples tested on August 29. The infection rate was 0.11 per cent as of August 29, while the infection rate had reached the lowest level of 0.02 per cent on August 28. 

Eighteen districts of Chhattisgarh had not reported any new cases of Corona. The districts are Rajnandgaon, Balod, Bemetara, Kabirdham, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Gariaband, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Mungeli, Surguja, Surajpur, Balrampur, Bastar, Dantewada, Sukma and Bijapur. 

Meanwhile, the Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi  district, which had been free of Corona,  had 

reported one or two cases in the last two to three days.

The two districts of Chhattisgarh – Kabirdham and Mahasamund – have maintained the record of zero Covid-19 patients for the last three consecutive days. 

According to health department data,  Korba and Baloda Bazaar districts had six patients each on Monday. The Koriya district had 3, while Durg, Raipur, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Jashpur, Kondagaon, Kanker and Narayanpur had one patient each. At present, the Korba district has a maximum number of active patients, 69. Jashpur is second with 45, and Raipur remains in third place with 37 patients.

Since the first Covid-19 patient in the state till Monday, 10 lakh 4 thousand 420 people have been affected by the Covid pandemic. Out of this, 9 lakh 90 thousand 426 got cured, and 13 thousand 555 lost their lives. The risk of infection remains. Doctors have received instructions to follow the Covid-19 prevention measures.
