Raipur: Health minister TS Singh Deo inspected facilities available at district hospital on his visit to Janjgir Champa district on Friday.

Besides, he also took information regarding schemes being provided through the ration card and also appropriate behavior with corona patients.

Meanwhile, on the occasion, he also visited covid vaccination center to inspect the process and vaccination facilities being provided to frontline workers.

During this inspection, he got information about the doctors active in the hospital management, in which he came to know that there are 16 posts of doctors for the hospital. However, more than 16 doctors are available there, on which he directed the management to take appropriate action in this regard.

Taking the matter of private drug store being run in the name of institutions in the hospital premises, the minister said "I have been of the view that private institutions should not be allowed to do any work in government hospitals, however in many places such shops have been opened and private people are employed in it ".

He further said that our objective is to make generic medicines available in the premises of the government hospital; it is not a proper system to provide medicines in the government hospital at 7% discount or market price. He strictly said that only generic medicines should be available inside the hospital premises.
