Raipur: In a major development, Chhattisgarh Government has granted permission to the Common public, Government Undertaking, and Non-government Institutes to get the quality of their new building examined through the Chief Technical Examiner (Vigilance) Office of the government. People interested in reaping the benefit of this service will have to pay the fees decided by the government. The state government has granted the Office of the Chief Technical Examiner for the testing of the concrete quality of the building through Non-Destructive Testing equipment only on the payment of the charges fixed for the same.
The decision will help common people ensure the quality of their construction according to their investment and prevent unnecessary expenses on the maintenance. This decision will also ensure the state government’s control over the quality of the construction. It will bring awareness among people about the quality of construction. The State government has fixed Rs 2500 per reading for Digital Rebounding Hammer and Rs 3000 per reading including GST for Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity. The fees can be deposited online using the website ctev.cg.gov.nic. Applicants can also use –e-challan service for the payment of the fees.
Technical Examiner (Vigilance) R Puram said that a certain number of testing has been fixed for each district. It is mandatory to have a minimum of four testing each done in Balrampur and Jashpur districts, three each in Bastar, Bijapur, Dantewada, Koriya, Sukma, Surajpur, and Surguja, two each in Janjgir-Champa, Kawardha, Kanker, Kondagaon, Korba, Narayanpur, Raigarh and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, one each in Balod, Baloda Bazaar, Bemetara, Bilaspur, Dhamtari, Durg, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Munglei, Raipur and Rajnandgaon.
