Raipur: Keeping in view the surge in spread of corona infection, the Municipal Corporation's Aldermen under the leadership of MLA Shailesh Pandey have given an amount of Rs 8 lakh to Bilaspur district collector for expansion of various health facilities in Covid hospitals.
The healthcare workers are facing a lot of difficulties due to rise in spread of infection. Besides, there is shortage of proper medical facilities including oxygen, ventilators, medicines and beds in both government and private hospitals, for which efforts are being made to overcome the shortages. The amount has been given from Parshad fund to district collector Saransh Mittar for expansion of medical facilities in hospitals and purchase of oxygen cylinders, ambulances, mortuary van and other related materials.
Under the leadership of the MLA, all the Aldermen of the Municipal Corporation handed over Rs 1 lakh from their respective Parshad fund to district collector Saransh Mittar and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ajay Kumar Tripathi. The Alderman has asked the collector and commissioner to use the funds in overcoming shortage of medical facilities for corona patients. They said that all possible help including funds will be provided in future as per requirement and they pledged to extend all possible support to the people of Bilaspur. .
District Collector Dr Saransh Mittar has thanked all the Alderman including MLA for this exemplary effort and initiative.
Meanwhile, under the leadership of MLA Shailesh Pandey, veteran and senior Alderman of the corporation including Shailendra Jaiswal, Kashi Ratre, Dipanshu Srivastava, Akhilesh Gupta Bunty, Suresh Sonkar, Azra Khan, Subodh Kesari, and Shyam Lal Chandani gave their contribution in the fight against deadly virus.
Besides MLA Shailesh Pandey has thanked all the Alderman and appealed that the remaining Alderman and Parshad to come forward with their own funds to provide support to the administration for prevention and control of Corona infection.
