Despite being below 45 years of age, Congress MLA Shakuntala Sahu gets Covid vaccination shot

Raipur: Despite being below 45 years of age, parliamentary secretary and Kasdol MLA Shakuntala Sahu has received her first shot of coronavirus vaccination on Friday.

As per the directions of central government, people above age of 45 years are being vaccinated against Covid-19 in the country.

Sahu shared photos of herself on her Facebook handle receiving first dose of coronavirus vaccine. “Got my first vaccine dose today! Thanks team covishield! I am grateful for all the scientific research that made the creation and production of these lifesaving vaccines possible so quickly”, she wrote.

The district health authorities said that they have no information in this regard.

Meanwhile, Akaltara MLA and BJP leader Saurabh Singh alleged that Sahu has violated the covid vaccination rules and this is a case of fraudulent. Sahu has received vaccination against Covid-19 at the age of 35. Singh has demanded strict action against the Kasdol MLA and authorities concerned. Singh condemned the act of Shakuntala Sahu sitting in an important post like parliamentary secretary.

He further added that people of state government are violating coronavirus guidelines and covid vaccination age limits. When will the people of Congress hesitate to play with the health of the needy common man?

Singh said that this incident is sufficient for chief minister Bhupesh Baghel to raise a big question on his understanding of political, administrative and constitutional decorum. The bureaucracy of the state has not been under his control, now the members of his government are also going out of their grip and carrying out such activities, he said.
