Manendragarh: A team of police rescued four children who got trapped in a river while taking bath. According to information four children had gone for a bath in the Bora river in Manendragarh. All of a sudden water current of the river intensified and the children got trapped. They held a rock to prevent themselves from being swept away by the water current. According to information flash water was flowing due to rain.
A team of police officers and staff rushed to the spot saved the four children after two hours of rescue3 operation. This effort of the police is being appreciated by the eyewitnesses and the local people. Assistant sub-inspector R Bhagat, constable Rakesh Sharma, Home Guard Suresh Rajak and other employees were involved in the rescue. Tehsildar Bajrang Sahu, SDM Nayantara Singh Tomar and RPF officers were present on the occasion.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said that it is the special responsibility of the family members that if there is heavy rain, children should not be sent outside alone to take bath in the river or pond. He also appreciated the police personnel of Manendragarh.
