BJP MLAs to give their one months salary to district fund for Covid-19 management

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs will give their one month’s salary in the district government fund and Rs 25 lakh from MLA fund in their respective assembly constituencies for Covid-19 management in the state.

This was decided in a virtual meeting held on Friday which was attended by BJP Chhattisgarh in-charge D Purandeswari and co-incharge Nitin Nabin.

BJP state media in-charge Nalinish Thokane said that it was decided in the meeting that the MLAs will deposit 25 lakh rupees from his MLA fund in assembly constituency along with depositing one month's salary in the district government fund. The state BJP will hold a press conference at the district headquarters on April 18 to share the public health failures in the state and the failure of the Bhupesh government. The same will be shared through press note at block level on April 20.

Following the BJP guide line, on April 24, the workers will sit on a dharna outside their homes and work to awaken the state government to improve health services. In the meeting, the party leaders talked about being active in their respective areas.

BJP state in-charge D Purandeswari said that the situation in Chhattisgarh is worrisome and at this time the BJP will have to do more and more work for the public. All the leaders should be active in their respective fields and should be visible in the cooperation of the people.

BJP state president Vishnu Dev Sai, former chief minister Dr Raman Singh, state organization general minister Pawan Sai, state general secretary, vaccine promotion team, divisional in-charge, medical team, all MPs and MLAs joined the meeting. Concern was expressed in the meeting about the situation of Corona in Chhattisgarh, as well as being the main opposition party; there was a discussion on standing with the people of Chhattisgarh in this adverse situation.
