Raipur: Health minister TS Singh Deo visited Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College Campus on Friday.
He inquired about the arrangements available here, setup and infrastructure, accommodation facilities for Deans, Resident Doctors and Senior Doctors, and hostel facilities. He discussed the infrastructure available here and the possibilities of expansion, availability of sufficient land for the college. He said that every effort would be made to develop all possible facilities here. He said that whatever is to be done in the interest of medical students, action has to be completed at the earliest. He has directed the officials concerned to keep reviewing the work every 15 days so that the work of the college can be completed at a fast pace.
He said that according to the possibilities of future expansion in the medical college, preparations should be made from now so that medical education can get more expansion from here. Along with this, he also emphasized connectivity. He said that the connectivity here should be officially accessible so that people have to cover the minimum distance to reach here. Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure explained in detail about the activities so far, as well as gave information about the setup.
Meanwhile, the health minister also inspected Supela Hospital. He held discussions with the admitted patients here and inquired about the treatment, availability of medicines, and availability of other facilities including food.
