Dispatch News.

Raipur. The suspended ADG GP Singh is still under investigation. Now the way old skeletons keep tumbling out of his closet, it is clear that GP Singh is sure to fall. During his tenure as Durg IG, GP Singh had some dealings with the surrendered Naxalite leader.

Apart from this, the police will re-investigate some of his old cases; the attack on the youth from Devendra Nagar in 2013 and the one related to social worker Manjit Kaur Bal in 2016. Special DG Ashok Juneja, Durg IG Vivekanand Sinha and Raipur IG Anand Chhabra are the investigating officers.

In 2013, Durlabh Kumar Agarwal, resident of Devendra Nagar, had complained that OP Pal and DSP Archana Jha, SPs in Raipur, had assaulted him. GP Singh buried the case without investigation. Special DG Ashok Juneja will investigate this incident. In 2016, GP Singh was the Durg IG when the Naxalite leader Pahar Singh surrendered. In the ACB raid, the officers found that Pahar Singh had accounts with crores of rupees. The money was kept safe with some businessmen. GP Singh, allegedly, had threatened them and took the money. Durg IG Vivekananda Sinha will investigate this matter.

Social activist Manjit Kaur Bal also has a complaint. GP Singh had tried to save Kamalakant Tiwari, an accused in some criminal cases. Raipur Range IG Anand Chhabra will investigate the matter.

GP Singh is the first officer of the Indian Police Service, who was booked for sedition in the state. The ACB had raided GP Singh's government bungalow at Police Lines at 6 am on July 1. The officers also took simultaneous action on 15 other bases. During the operation that lasted for more than 68 hours, the police found several documents from the gutter behind the bungalow with undeclared assets of 10 crores.

After a preliminary investigation, the police registered an FIR against GP Singh in the disproportionate assets case. The officers found movable and immovable assets worth Rs 5 crore on the first day of the investigation.

Currency bundles worth Rs 13 lakh were found from the bedroom of his business friend Preetpal Singh Chandok, 79 insurance documents in the name of GP Singh's wife and sons from the office of Chartered Accountant Rajesh Bafna in Rajnandgaon.
