Raipur. Today is the birth anniversary of Dr Khubchand Baghel, who first dreamed about the state of Chhattisgarh. The Department of Culture and Archeology organized a program at the museum premises with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel as the chief guest. The Culture Minister, Amarjeet Bhagat, presided over the program. In his address, he highlighted the achievements of Dr Khubchand Baghel.
Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said that "His experiments to eradicate social and caste prejudice was successful. For the economic emancipation of the backward, the 'Village Industries Association' in Silyari made an innovative effort to open 'Janata High School' for education reforms. He went to jail while actively participating in Gandhiji's Quit India Movement, Do or Die Movement.
The relatives of Dr Khubchand Baghel, including Sirmaur, Dr Rajendra Kumar Verma, Sheshnarayan Baghel, Vishnu Baghel and Amit Baghel, attended the event.
