Raipur. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr Charandas Mahant and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the newly constructed 'Panchkarma Unit' by the Department of AYUSH in the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha premises. Before this, he offered prayers to Lord Dhanvantari, the originator of Ayurveda, and wished everyone better health. Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik, Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma, Devendra Yadav, Principal Secretary of the Legislative Assembly Chandrashekhar Gangrade and Director Health Services Neeraj Bansod were also present.
On this occasion, Panchakarma Lecturer Dr Tribhuvan Singh of Ayurvedic College, Raipur, informed that the Panchakarma treatment facility is available in this Panchakarma unit from 10 am to 5 pm on every official day. The MLAs and the officers and employees of the Legislative Assembly can take benefit from it. In Panchakarma, first aid procedures like snehana, swedana and shirodhara are used. Vamana, nasya, vasti and rakta moksha are available in Ayurvedic college located in Raipur. Dr Singh said that snehana strengthens the skin, gives relief from physical and mental fatigue. Similarly, Swedana helps with the heaviness in the body and destroys cold. Shirodhara is beneficial for headaches, hypertension, stress, anxiety, psychological diseases and burning sensation.
