Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the formation of four new districts in Chhattisgarh besides announcing the formation of 18 new Tehsils in the state on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.
He said that 'Mohla-Manpur', 'Sakti', 'Sarangarh-Bilaigarh' and 'Manendragarh' will now be recognized as districts.
Chief Minister gave many historical gifts to the people of Chhattisgarh on this occasion. He also announced the launch of 'Swamitva Yojna' to provide the right to the land occupied by the people living on the abadi land in rural areas.
He further announced to develop a garden in the name of 'Minimata' for women in all district headquarters and municipal corporations and besides abolishing age restrictions for admission in colleges of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the 'Mukhyamantri Affordable Medicine Scheme' implemented in urban areas to provide medicines at concessional rates to the people of the state would now be known as 'Shri Dhanwantri Yojna'. In view of the recruitment of more than 2500 personnel on various posts in power companies and the utility of the 'Dial 112' service, he announced that it would now be expanded to the entire state.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in his message said that 75th Independence Day is a stage where we stand proud of our heritage and beyond which we also have to take up the responsibility of forming a 'New India'. "I am happy that while respecting our heritage, the campaign that we started to build 'Nawa Chhattisgarh' nearly two and a half years ago, its effect is visible not only in our state but our efforts to build new Chhattisgarh have also be seen in the whole country, raising new hopes", he said.
