All Congress ministers and MLA’s to give their one month’s salary to Chief Minister's Relief Fund for corona control

Raipur: All Congress ministers and MLA’s have given their nod to give their one month’s salary to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

This has been done after chief minister Bhupesh Baghel appealed them for help in this difficult situation arising out of Covid pandemic. Baghel held discussions and took important suggestions from the Congress party MLAs, ministers, mayors and public representatives, through video conferencing on Monday. Chhattisgarh state Incharge PL Punia was also present in the meeting.

In the discussion, chief minister laid special emphasis on providing better treatment facility for patients including speeding up testing and vaccination work for speedy control of corona in the state. Baghel said that every necessary measure are being taken to control the present condition of the corona in the state and its infection and constant monitoring is being done with the cooperation of all.

He said that everyone along with the government should come forward and play an important role in defeating this fight against Corona. During the discussion, the Chief Minister urged all MLAs and Mayor and Councilors of the Congress Party to pay their one month salary to the Chief Minister Relief Fund for corona control.  He called for maximum use of MLA funds for the expansion of health facilities in the state for corona control.

Under this, guidelines were given to build quarantine centers in rural areas and to keep migrants coming from outside by road till the their test report is received. For this, he asked to give responsibility to Sarpanchs and Kotwars in the villages. He said that this time the infection is spreading rapidly in the villages as well. To prevent this, it is necessary to check the migrants coming from outside. He also asked to ensure strict checking of passengers on all the borders of Maharashtra including the border areas of Chhattisgarh. During the lockdown, he asked the party officials to cooperate in the food arrangements of the needy like last year.

Chief minister discussed in detail about ensuring adequate availability of oxygen and essential medicines, including rapid opening of Covid Center and Quarantine Center for better treatment of patients in the state. He informed that health facilities are being rapidly expanded in the state for speedy treatment of patients. There is a target of vaccination of 58.67 lakh citizens over 45 years of age in Chhattisgarh. Out of this, 33.52 lakh i.e. 57 per cent people have been given first dose of corona vaccine.
