Digital library will setup to preserve the rich culture of CG;CM Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur: Cultural heritage consists of the resources inherited from the past in all forms and aspects including folk music, folk dance, folk literature so a digital library is all set to be established to save vibrant dimensions of the rich and pure culture of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel held a meeting of the state cultural department along with the cultural minister Amarjeet Bhagat and concerned officials of the department at his residential office on July six.  

Baghel said “Many musical instruments have been prevalent generations of Chhattisgarh the information about that instrument should be stored digitally by recording their names, method of playing for the people who are not aware of the musical instruments. Different schemes of the culture department including the state governments promotional scheme for the artist being launched for the people so that they can get encouraged and nurture more young artist of the culture of Chhattisgarh”.

Folk artist promotion scheme Manas mandali initiative scheme initiative schemes scholarship schemes have been started for enthusiastic artists who are in need. A Chinhari portal was started by the department for the registration of the artists. An online portal has been created to provide financial help to the registered institution in the department and a monthly pension will be given by the department to the needy writers and artists. Under the artist welfare Rs, 25000 will be given on critical illness accidents, and that as a medical grant in the year 2020-21 assistance of rupees 14 lakh 76 thousand was given in 131 cases so far. Rs. 9 crores 56 lakh has been given to 1678 artist themes presenting culture programs.

Under the Folk Artists Promotion Scheme, a provision has been made to give incentives to 100 folk artists every year. An annual incentive of Rs 24 thousand for the preservation, promotion, and development of dance-music, folk drama, folklore, Chhattisgarhi lyricist genre to a maximum of 30 artists or teams, Rs 18 thousand to a maximum of 25 artists or teams of musical instruments, A provision has been made to give an annual incentive of Rs 15 thousand to maximum 20 craftsmen, Rs 12 thousand to maximum 25 artists or teams of Chhattisgarhi culinary arts (Chhattisgarhi cuisine) and Rs 12 thousand to maximum 10 artists of Chhattisgarh aesthetic arts.

Under Manas Mandali Protsahan scheme 2021, competitions of registered Ramayana circles will be organized at village panchayat, block-level, district level, state level and the respective amount will be given to the Ramayana circles that get first place.

Swami Vivekananda Memorial Bhawan (Day-Bhavan) is also being prepared in Raipur to save the memories of Swami Vivekananda's stay in Raipur, in which Swami Vivekananda's biography, his spiritual journey during the  Raipur stay, Swami Vivekananda's foreign stay, and Indian culture are being prepared. Different galleries are being built to showcase his ideology.

Chhattisgarh Cultural Space Center will be developed at Purkhauti Muktangan in Nava Raipur, in which Bharat Bhawan, Manav Sangrahalaya Bhawan, Archives building will be built on 10 acres in Purkhauti Muktangan museum complex. Gave information about intellectual circuit construction, new works being done in Purkhauti Muktangan, web archives to be created. The official informed that the preparations for the National Tribal Dance Festival 2021 have also been started by the department. He informed that to promote Chhattisgarhi cuisine in all the district headquarters of the state, Gadkalewa's refreshments has been operational from  15 August 2020.
