Constable's vigilance prevents illegal transport of Paddy.

Dispatch News.

As per the State Government's order, to prevent the transport of illegal paddy, barriers have been set up in GPM district to stop paddy coming from outside the state. Constables are working in separate shifts and at different points to ensure this, they are monitored and guided by the police station in-charge and subdivisional officer of the area.

On December 14, constable Hemant Wakre was working at the Barore barrier. Later in the afternoon, a truck from  MP carrying sixty-five sacks of paddy arrived there. The constable made inquires to the driver Bhanu Dayal, age 30, a resident of Malga Tehsil Kotma. After the driver failed to provide exact information and valid documents, he was taken into police custody. The Superintendent of Police also got the news, and coordinated with the Collector and sent the Food Officer to the spot for further action. Because of his (constable's) vigilance and devotion to duty, the GPM Superintendent of Police, Suraj Singh Parihar gave him a cash prize of hundred rupees, which will be recorded in his service book.

Superintendent of Police has said that rewards encourage the officers and keep their morale up and they also motivate other employees to work diligently.
