
Raipur: Vaccination against COVID-19 will be continued
without any interruptions in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh will soon get it’s
another batch of 5.26 lakh new vaccines from the Government of India.
State immunization officer Dr Amar Singh Thakur said
that before the commencement of vaccination on March 19, over 4.64 lakh vaccines
are in stock for the state. Vaccination of health workers, frontline workers,
citizens above 60 years and people with co-morbidities within age of 45 years
to 59 years will be continued regularly in Chhattisgarh. At present, a
sufficient number of vaccines are available in the state, he said.
Chhattisgarh will soon get 5.26 lakh new vaccines
from the Government of India. The new vaccine consignment will arrive here in
the next few days. There is still no problem with the availability of the
vaccine. Regular vaccinations of the people of the state will continue as per
scheduled sessions as before. In view of the increasing cases of corona
infection in the state, experts are advising people of the age group of 60
years and age group of 45 to 59 with co morbidities to get vaccinated at the
earliest.
Ambedkar hospital specialist physician Dr OP Sundarani
said that due to increasing infection, patients are increasing in ICU of
Mekahara. Therefore, everyone needs to be very careful. The youth should tell
their elders about the benefits of the vaccine and they should also be taken to
get the shot vaccine so that they can get into the circle of safety at the
earliest.
He said that corona examination should be done
immediately after showing symptoms of cold, fever, and cough as even small
negligence proves fatal.
