Raipur: A Khaira
resident has filed a criminal petition before the Chhattisgarh High Court
against former Takhatpur MLA Raju Singh Kshatriya alleging that he has taken Rs
33 lakh in the lieu of giving party ticket in Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly
Elections 2018.
The petitioner Gyanchand
Pathak, resident of Khaira village in Sipat area alleged that the former MLA
has promised him to get a ticket from Beltara assembly constituency in the
assembly elections 2018. In the lieu of giving ticket Kshatriya has taken Rs 33
lakh from him. However, the name of Pathak was not in the list of candidates
for the assembly election. Following, this Pathak went to meet Kshatriya asking
him to return his money back as he has not got the party ticket from Beltara
constituency as promised.
Kshatriya again gave
him false promises and asked him to wait for some time and he will return all
his money for sure. The petitioner stated that even after frequent visits since
2 years, the former MLA has not returned his money yet. He said that he had
complained to the Superintendent of Police and Inspector General of Police
against the former MLA in this regard.
The petitioner has moved the High Court seeking to register a criminal case against the former MLA on the basis of these allegations.
