Koriya. Two accused of an inter-state gang of car robbery - Mohammad Akram and Shakeel arrested from Rewa. There have been half a dozen robbery incidents. Both the accused were involved in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh incidents. One of the accused, Kamal Patel, is still absconding.

Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh disclosed this by holding a press conference. Both the accused had taken four-wheelers after booking from Manendragarh to Rewa. In the woods of Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, the driver was fed a drug pill and beaten up. The driver was unconscious in the forest for two days. One of the accused is a history-sheeter of Katni GRP of Madhya Pradesh.

On 18/8/2021, the applicant came to the police station Manendragarh and filed a report that some unknown person had rented his Ertiga number CG 16A 2080. Unidentified people stole the vehicle on 14/8/2021 in a planned manner. With a companion, they assaulted the driver and robbed his mobile and Ertiga car. The police station in Manendragarh registered a crime number 252/2021 section 394 120B.

Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh and the Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh; and Police Sub-Divisional Officer Manendragarh Rakesh Kumar Kurre got apprised of the matter. Because the case was unknown, technical analysis was used to trace the accused, informers and other states. The Superintendent of Police, Koriya Santosh Singh, prepared an action plan to identify the perpetrators. The police received information about the main accused, Mohammad Akram, that he is about to come to his relative's house in Samaria district, Rewa Madhya Pradesh. The accused confessed that he planned it with his accomplices, Mohammad Shakeel and Kamal Patel. After booking the vehicle, Akram would bring them and get rid of the driver by feeding him a pill. Afterwards, Kamal Patel will take that car to Uttar Pradesh and sell it on 14/8/2021. According to the plan, the accused Akram came to Manendragarh and rented the vehicle at the taxi stand. On the way, Akram made his partner Shakeel sit with the driver. They gave him a drink by mixing lassi at the dhaba in front of Shahdol, and when the driver got drunk, his mobile and car went to Kamal Patel near village Ambi. The driver's phone was recovered from the accused Mohammad Akram, who left for Allahabad with ₹ 15,000. The police recovered the robbed vehicle from the house of accused Kamal Patel. Mohammad Akram Shakeel was arrested from Kotma; the third accused, Kamal Patel, is absconding.
