Raipur. The government has approved Rs. 1 thousand 188 crores 28 lakh for constructing 36 thousand 177 homes. Acting swiftly on the announcement made by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to provide all-convenient pucca houses to the urban poor and homeless in the state. The Urban Administration and Development Department proposal got approved in a meeting of the State Level Sanction and Monitoring Committee held at Mantralaya. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain presided over the meeting. Urban Administration and Development Minister, Dr Shivkumar Dahriya, has expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing housing to the urban poor.
In the meeting, Rs. 1 thousand 66 crores 18 lakh was approved for 34 thousand 308 houses under 138 projects under "my land-my house" component in urban areas and Rs. 1 thousand 66 crores for construction of 1869 houses under Raipur Development Authority. The state government is trying to improve lives and bring about a change in the social and economic condition by providing all the facilities to the urban poor and the homeless. Along with the houses, basic facilities like electricity, water etc will also be provided to the beneficiaries.
