Raipur: Classes of 10th and 12th students will start from Monday as per the order issued by the state government.
Except classes 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th, all the remaining classes i.e. classes from 1st to 5th and 8th will also be conducted from Monday. All these classes are being started in those districts where the corona positivity rate is up to one per cent in the last 7 days.
As per the decision of the state government, recommendation of the gram panchayat concerned and the school's compliance committee will be necessary for rural areas before the commencement of class I to V in all primary schools and class 8 in middle school. For urban areas, the recommendation of the concerned ward councilor and the compliance committees of the school is mandatory. For conducting classes 10th and 12th in high school and higher secondary schools, the recommendation of the compliance committee including representatives of the village panchayat or urban body will not be required.
School education secretary Dr Kamalpreet Singh informed that as per the decision of the state government, offline classes of 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th are not being started at present. The decision to conduct these classes will be taken in future by the state government after assessment of the possible fall in the corona positivity rate and its spread in the districts. He said online classes at all levels would continue to be conducted as before.
