Chhattisgarh BJP leader has alleged that he has received life threat from
Saraipali (SC) assembly constituency MLA after his reaction over the arrest of MLA’s
son-in-law in ganja smuggling case.
Police
has caught Saraipali (SC) assembly constituency MLA Kismatlal Nand’s son-in-law
with about 21 kgs of ganja worth about Rs 1.50 lakh from Aarang police station area
of Raipur district. After being chased by the police and cyber cell team, the accused
allegedly involved in ganja smuggling was arrested near the Nayapara Road Odka
railway gate in Aarang.

BJP leader Gourishankar Srivas in his statement to the media alleged that the
crime took place under the protection of the MLA and MLA Kismatlal Nand has
given life threats to him. Dispatch News also has an audio recording of the
same. After receiving the life threat, Srivas has demanded the resignation of the
MLA and police security.
Meanwhile, as per official police sources, Raipur police has arrested three people including Saraipali (SC) assembly constituency MLA’s son-in-law in ganja smuggling case. Acting on tip-off police nabbed Suryakant Nag resident of Saraipali, Dhirendra Mishra resident of Charama and Umesh Manheera resident of Balangir Orissa on Wednesday night, who were reportedly smuggling ganja from Mahasamund to Durg. Suryakant Nag is said to be the son-in-law of Saraipali MLA Kismatlal Nand. The car caught by police is said to be registered in the name of MLA’s wife Sadbati Nand. Charama resident Suryakant is a professional criminal having more than a half dozen cases of assault and smuggling registered against him in the Charama police station.
