SCERT, Rotary India Literacy Mission sign MoU for adult education

Raipur: State Council of Educational Research and Training and Rotary India Literacy Mission signed a free memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday.

Rotary India Literacy Mission will help State Literacy Mission Authority in conducting the upcoming Nav Bharat Saksharta programme and preparing student volunteers to make the illiterate people of the state literate in the field of adult literacy.

The cooperation of the local Rotary Club will also be taken to promote adult education. In addition, it will reward teachers with supporting activities such as training modules, certification. Along with this, the creation of e-learning materials will help in vocational and skill development. School dropouts of the state will be connected to education through a collaboration programme by Rotary India Literacy Mission.

Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar, School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahriya, Rajya Sabha Member Vivek Tankha, School Education Department Secretary Dr Kamal Preet Singh, SCERT Director Rahul Venkat, Rotary's International President Shekhar Mehta, Sunil Pathak, Akhil Mishra, Shashant Rastogi, Manjit Singh, Gaurav Jindal and office bearers of Rotary India were present.
