Raipur: Chhattisgarh High Court has sought an investigation report from the government within four weeks on the encounter case of a shepherd in Karka village of Bijapur district, describing him as a Naxalite.
Sodmi Madkam, the mother of the deceased has moved the High Court through advocate Yogeshwar Sharma demanding a CBI enquiry into the matter by registering an FIR against the guilty policemen.
After preliminary hearing of the case the bench of Justice Narendra Kumar Vyas has issued a notice to the state government seeking an investigation report from the government within four weeks.
As per official sources, four shepherds had gone to graze cows in village Karka of Bijapur district. It has been alleged that the police deliberately opened fire on the four shepherds in which Samaru Madkam died on the spot. One was shot in the leg while other escaped from the spot. Police has said that Samaru was a Naxalite.
