Raipur: “ If you have a strong desire to achieve your goal then God miraculously removes obstacles and gives the power to overcome them” it has proven in the case of Naina Dhakad when she crossed all the odds in her path of Mount Everest and summit the world’s highest peak of 8848.86 M.
Hailing from Naxal affected tribal region of Bastar it was not so easy for Naina to chasing her biggest dream of life; scaling Mt Everest, She Did it. Her punch line ‘Naina Singh Dhakad Bastar ki mitti se bani ziddi ladki hai.. Adig hai …baat maan lo’. Besides scaling Mt Everest she also conquers Mt Lhotse—the world’s fourth highest mountain which stands tall at 8,516m.
Naina Singh, a resident of Actaguda village, located about 10 km from the Jagdalpur headquarters, was active in mountaineering for about 10 years. She unfurled tricolor on top of Mt Everest on June 1. In her expedition, she gave a message of “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao”.
Even after facing a lot of challenges during her expedition, the braveheart Naina did not give up. Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and Chhattisgarh governor Ansuiya Uikey have congratulated Naina for her outstanding achievement. In his message, CM Bhupesh Baghel said that “Naina has made Chhattisgarh proud with her achievement by conquering the highest mountain peak of the world with her determination, willpower and indomitable courage. He also gave her best wishes for future endeavors.
Chhattisgarh governor Anusuiya Uikey in her congratulatory message said that Naina has conquered the highest mountain peak of the world with her determination, willpower, and indomitable courage. The whole of Chhattisgarh is proud of her achievement. It is a sign of our women's empowerment that our daughters are achieving such great achievements and are glorifying the name of Chhattisgarh in the whole world. I also congratulate and give best wishes to her parents. She has wished for a bright future for her.
BJP leader from Jagdalpur Sangram Singh Rana said “ Naina had achieved the record of climbing the Bhagirathi-2 mountain which is 6512 meters on 19 September 2017. When she climbed Bhagirathi-2 in Himachal Pradesh, Bastar police handed her the flag of police and tricolor to hoist there atop the Bhagirath II”.
Sangram Singh Rana showed his excitement over Naina’s achievement and said “Bastar's daughter Naina Dhakad, who brighten the name of Bastar, was sent for the expedition by the effort of Bastar Collector Rajat Bansal and Superintendent of Police Deepak Jha. NMDC Executive Director of Nagarnar Steel and Iron Plant Prashant Jha From NMDC has supported Naina Financially so that without any financial crunch she could do her dream come true. Now Naina Singh Dhakad, the brand ambassador of Bastar Police, has brought the laurel by conquering the world's highest peak Mount Everest in 2021 and becoming the first woman mountaineer of Chhattisgarh”.

The 12 members all-women’s team was also listed in the Limka Book of World Records. Through her accomplishment of India’s highest peak she has already given the world a glimpse of her rich talent”.
