Former CM Raman Singh takes jibe at chief minister Bhupesh Baghel over Bijapur Naxal attack

Raipur: Taking a jibe at chief minister Bhupesh Bhupesh, BJP national vice president and former chief minister Dr Raman Singh said Assam election has been the priority of chief minister, but there are no words to console the families of the martyred soldiers. A chief minister of state cannot be so insensitive.

Describing the incident of Bijapur as painful, he said that even today, no accountable person is available in Chhattisgarh even in this situation.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday the former chief minister said that the bodies of the martyred soldiers have not been recovered, and the chief minister is standing in the Assam elections. Regarding Bastar, he used to repeatedly raise questions that no IG is posted, today DIG DIG Naxal is taking care in Bastar, but no-one is accountable. The home minister should have reached Bastar by now, he said.

Speaking about the situation of corona pandemic in Chhattisgarh, he said that situation is terrible in Chhattisgarh. Yesterday, the data touched 6,000. Who is responsible for creating this situation? Health Minister says that the situation in Chhattisgarh is getting worse, there is no place in ICU. I myself enquired from AIIMS to government hospitals, private hospitals, but could not find a bed.

He alleged that the death toll is being manipulated. Less statistics are being released than the actual number of deaths. This is a strange situation. Today the ventilator is not available. He also alleged that the government continued to avoid vaccination by creating a political issue. The stadium remained empty in the cricket match in Gujarat, but in the match held in Raipur, 44,000 people were seated at the stadium.

Media In-Charge Nalinesh Thokane, Sanjay Srivastava, Naresh Gupta, Sandeep Sharma and Gauri Shankar Shriwas were also present in the press conference.
