Raipur: The Directorate of Culture, located in the Raipur city, will soon be shifted to Nava Raipur. Culture Minister Amarjit Bhagat today inspected the building of Chhattisgarh Home Construction Board in Nava Raipur Sector 27 which is proposed for the office of Culture Council.
Chhattisgarh Culture Council has been constituted by the state government to preserve and promote the culture of Chhattisgarh as well as to encourage people towards this discipline. Sahitya Akademi, Kala Akademi, Tribal Lok Kala Akademi, Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation, Chhattisgarh Sindhi Academy and Chhattisgarh Official Language Commission will operate under the Sanskriti Parishad. Preparations are being made to shift the Directorate of Culture from Old Raipur to Nava Raipur soon.
During the inspection of the building, the minister said that the office should have a well-equipped form according to the Chhattisgarhi culture. Reception staff and guides should be updated in the office building so that tourists, artists and citizens coming from other states and abroad can give information about Chhattisgarhi culture in detail in Chhattisgarhi, Hindi and English.
Bhagat instructed the officers to arrange sitting for all the academies, presidents and members of film development corporation boards in the office building. He said that the concept of bringing all the divisions under one umbrella should be perfected, so that citizens, artists, intellectuals coming to the office can get the benefit of it. He also emphasized on running Gadkaleva or canteen for the visitors to have tea, snacks, and food.
