Bilaspur. Collector Dr Saransh Mittar today met with doctors of 30 private hospitals operating in the district. He instructed that the hospitals should increase the number of both oxygenated and nursing beds. Apollo Hospital management has promised to provide 164 beds for Covid patients in the next ten days. The doctors of other hospitals also assured to increase the beds.
In the meeting, the collector said that there should be proper communication between the patient's family and the hospital management to avoid misinformation. He said that there should be complete transparency in the treatment of Covid patients. Mandatory CCTV cameras should be installed in hospitals so that the entire process is transparent.
The collector said that patients should receive treatment as per rules under Dr Khubchand Baghel scheme. He said that giving proper benefits of the scheme to those who are eligible is our top priority. Billing must follow the rates fixed by the government.
He also gave directions about the proper identification of the deceased person. He also heard all the problems that the doctors are facing. The doctors suggested that while admitting the patient, the hospital will select a point of contact and relay information to that person.
