Raipur. Chhattisgarh has witnessed a decline in the number of Covid-19 positive cases in recent days. The rate of Covid-19 positive cases reached 0.2 per cent on August 6 as 109 people were found positive for Covid-19. Raipur reported the highest 13 positive cases. Raipur, Janjgir-Champa and Bastar, at present, are the most affected districts of the state. Four students of a Durg school and a teacher in Kanker tested positive for Covid. 

 

The Health Department on Friday informed that out of 43810 samples, 109 were positive. Raipur had the highest 13 cases, Janjgir-Champa and Bastar 10 each, Sukma 8 cases, Kanker and Koriya district 6 cases each, Surguja and Raigarh 5 cases each, Baloda Bazar, Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Korba, Balrampur and Narayanpur witnessing four positive each. 

In the last three days, 29 students were found positive for Covid-19 in the state. A total of seven people, including a teacher, two children and a cook, were found Covid positive in a Jashpur school, following which the school was closed.

In the last 24 hours, three Covid positive patients breathed their last. These patients were from Janjgir-Champa, Sukma and Bijapur districts of the state.

The number of deaths due to Corona in the state had reached 13,536 in the state. However, experts warn that carelessness towards the Covid-appropriate behaviour is leading to a sudden rise in infection. 

Seven districts of Chhattisgarh such as Rajnandgaon, Bemetara, Kabirdham, Gariaband, Mungeli, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi and Surajpur have recorded not even a single case of COvid positive on Friday. At the same time, Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Dantewada and Bijapur witnessed one each.

On August 5, the health department collected 44,399 samples for testing. 114 people were found positive out of 44,399, with Kanker reporting the highest 17 cases,  Raipur 2, Janjgir-Champa 3 and Bastar 8.  Bemetara, Kabirdham and Mungeli districts reported no cases. 

As many as 156 people got cured on August 5. Of these, sixty got discharged from the hospitals. Three people died due to Covid. On August 5, active cases in the state were 1,830. 

So far, 10,2,958 people have got Covid infection in the state. Out of this,  9,87,642 got cured. Unfortunately, 13536 people died due to Covid. Treatment of 1780 people was undergoing. More than 90 per cent of patients are receiving treatment at home.
