Chhattisgarh Assembly adjourned sine die

Raipur: The 11th Session of the Fifth Assembly adjourned sine die on the last working day of the Monsoon Session on Friday.  Earlier, Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant addressed the members.

 

Speaker congratulated the Leader of the House Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and all the members for their cooperation in running the proceedings of the House smoothly. The Speaker said that the entire world is affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite adverse conditions created by Covid-19, members showed great energy and dedication which is commendable, said the Speaker who also congratulated the athletes of India who excelled in the Tokyo Olympics. He named a few athletes such as Mirabai Chanu. Similarly, he named Naina Singh Dhakad of Bastar who recently conquered Mount Everest.


 

The Speaker also congratulated the Chief Secretary of the State, all the officials and employees, and people engaged in security duty. The Speaker said that the 12th Session of the Fifth Assembly is expected to be held in the third week of December. He appealed to all to take pledges for the overall development of Chhattisgarh.
