BJP targets the Government over a viral video that shows Congress Councilor violently beating a tribal youth.

Dispatch News.

Raipur. A video of Congress councillor Kamran Ansari assaulting a tribal youth has gone viral on social media. Rajya Sabha MP Ramvichar Netam has questioned Congress committee President, Mohan Markam, on social media over the viral video.

Ramvichar Netam has aggressively sought answers from the State Government on the video. On the day of the incident, he had tweeted, 'Arrogant Congress representative's bad behaviour with a tribal woman, and her son shows their true mentality. The incident is highly condemnable.'

In his latest tweet, Ramvichar Netam has tagged Mohan Markam and said 'Goons of your representative were openly threatening the victim's family. The police registered an FIR after BJP's intervention, however; they haven't arrested anyone, and your party also hasn't addressed this matter.'

In the viral video, Congress representative Kamran Ansari was chasing and beating a young man. The youth's mother kept pleading with the representative and his men to leave the young man alone, but they ignored her. On Sunday Kamran Ansari himself registered an FIR against the youth, later BJP reached the police station and protested against the FIR. The police then also registered an FIR against the Councillor and arrested him; he was later allowed to leave on a bond.

Kamran Ansari has clarified that the youth in question was drunk and was trying to damage the property. When people tried to stop him, he allegedly misbehaved with them.
