Raipur:
In a bid to maintain transparency regarding Covid-19 status in Chhattisgarh, the
health department has found out names of over 6,000 people who were infected
with the deadly virus, but their names couldn’t be included in the official figures.
The
health department of Chhattisgarh has made a remarkable achievement in the direction of preventing the spread of infection and providing better facilities
to the Covid 19 positive patients. Working under the leadership of health
minister TS Singh Deo, the government has adopted complete transparency
regarding the status of the corona pandemic in the state since the first case of
infection was received.
To
maintain this complete transparency with the public, the health department has dig
out names of nearly 6,000 people who were infected earlier but their names couldn’t
be included in official figures due to numerous reasons including allegedly
changing names to hide identity and admitted in private hospitals for
treatment. This has been done in a span of one month. These figures will now be
added to the total figures of the state.
Health
Minister Shri TS Singh Deo has assured the people that the government is
dedicated to maintaining complete transparency regarding the Covid pandemic status
between the government and the public in Chhattisgarh. The citizens of the
state have the right to get all the information.
“We will put all our possible efforts to ensure that names of all the covid positive patients in the state have been included in the official records and that no one has been exempted. The entire data will be shared with the people of Chhattisgarh by including such people in the list”, he added.
