RT-PCR negative report mandatory for air passengers coming to CG from other states, revised instructions to be effective from Aug 8

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government has made it mandatory for the air passengers coming to Chhattisgarh from other states to carry a negative test report for Covid-19.

As per the revised instructions issued by the state government, negative report of RTPCR test of Covid-19 will be mandatory for all air passengers coming from other states. Only the report of pathology lab approved and certified by ICMR will be accepted. If ICMR ID or SRF ID is not mentioned in the test report, RTPCR will be conducted at the airport. New guidelines have been issued by the General Administration Department to all the divisional commissioners, inspector general of police, all collectors and superintendents of police through circulars. The revised instructions will be effective from August 8.

According to the new instructions of the state government, such passengers who have proof of taking both the doses of vaccine against corona, will also be required to bring negative report of Covid-19 RTPCR test within 96 hours. In the absence of a negative report, it will be mandatory to conduct RTPCR or rapid antigen test at the airport. While giving the sample for examination, the passenger should provide photo, ID and mobile number. The member of the testing team will have to authenticate the mobile number by giving a missed call from his mobile number. Passengers who do not have a mobile number can get the number authenticated by giving a missed call from the mobile number of their kin.
