Petition filed in the High Court against acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College and its auction by the bank

Raipur: A petition has been filed in the Chhattisgarh High Court against the acquisition of Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College and the auction being done by Indian Bank.

Indian Bank had given loan to Chandulal Chandrakar Medical College in Durg and the bank is going to auction it for its recovery. On the other hand, the state government has announced to acquire it keeping in view the future of the students studying in this college.

Amit Chandrakar filed a petition in the High Court. Hearing of the case has not been scheduled yet.

The petition states that Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Hospital was established in 1982 by MP Chandrakar on 3.42 acres of land after taking permission from the Municipal Corporation. While keeping this land, this law was clearly declared that neither the said land would be sold, transferred or auctioned. However, the back is still conducting an auction for the same which is illegal. On the other hand, by hiding the facts, the government has announced its acquisition which is also wrong.
