Singhdeo retaliates to UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath’s statement on Congress

Raipur:Singhdeo said it is BJP which has hurt the nation and its people and described Congress leaders as ‘father and mother’ of freedom struggle.


Retaliating to a statement made by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath that Congress is the ‘mother of terrorism’, Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singhdeo on Monday said that BJP is has been hurting the nation. In response, Singhdeo said that Congress leaders are the father of the freedom fight as well as mother.

As Uttar Pradesh is going to Assembly poll next year, political environment has heated up in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath had on Sunday termed Congress as the mother of the terrorism which did not go down well with Congress Chhattisgarh. Singhdeo led from the front to attack the UP CM saying BJP has hurt the nation and harassing its citizens. 

In fact, the UP CM had uploaded a post on social media describing Congress as mother of terrorism. The nation need not to tolerate those who have  hut the nation, said Yogi and added in the post that BJP respect all irrespective of their cast and creed.

While quoting the statement of Yogi, Singhdeo advised to see the history. Congress leaders have been the ‘father and mother’ of the freedom struggle. It is the BJP which has hurt the nation and harassed the people. The BJP has never respected the faith of all, said Singhdeo.


Chhattisgarh Congress termed the statement of Yogi on social media as Rupani-impact. 

BJP is trying to remain in power by scolding Congress. The nation was hurt by Nathuram Godse who shot Gandhiji dead.

After a long time, reaction on UP CM’s state had come from any Congress leader from Chhattisgarh. It was said that PriyankaGandhi was on Amethi tour on Sunday. It is to be mentioned, Amethi had once been traditional seat of Congress chief’s family along with Raibareli seat. During Priyanka’s visit, Yogi had posted the aforementioned statement.
