Raipur: Director General of Police (DGP) DM Awasthi has assured that every problem pertaining to police family will be dealt with sensibly and an amicable solution to the problem will be found out. The DGP stated this while listening to the grievances of the police families during the ‘Spandan’ programme on Thursday.
According to information, the wife of a Constable, who is a staff nurse by profession, told the DGP that her Constable has recently undergone Open Heart Surgery following a heart attack. She is posted in Surajpur. If her husband’s transfer is done to Surajpur, she can take proper care of him. As the woman could not hold her emotions back, the DGP told the woman not to be worried and her problem will be solved with sensitivity.
Police families need not worry about their problems, said the DGP in the programme. Similarly, the wife of an Assistant Sub-Inspector told the DGP that her husband is suffering from a brain tumour and is posted in Bastar. The woman urged the transfer of her husband to Kabirdham. Another woman, wife of a Constable posted in Bijapur, urged the DGP that the elder brother of her husband is martyred in the Naxal attack. Her husband is posted in Bijapur for the last ten years while her family is in Kanker. She urged for the transfer of her husband from Bijapur to Kanker.
An ASI posted in Kabirdham said that his father has expired and his elderly mother has undergone a major operation. He needs to spend some time with his mother and therefore he should be transferred to Bhilai. The DGP assured all of the members of the police families to solve the problem
